Access to Quality Care & Faster Access to Surgery

Economic challenges, inflation, and recovery from COVID have continued to reveal system-wide gaps in healthcare. At Women’s, we have a vision to ensure everyone has access to equitable, timely, culturally sensitive, and effective care – when, where, and how they need it most.

Women’s College Hospital’s provincial mandate is to be a leading-edge ambulatory hospital – purpose-built to keep people out of hospital – with a focus on women’s health, and solving for gender and access inequities in our system.

We know our healthcare system is plagued by inefficiencies, ongoing inequities, skyrocketing wait times, and outdated equipment. We also know that behind every number, every statistic, every appointment and procedure, there is a person: a mother, a daughter, a teacher, a refugee, someone who is counting on us for health and healing.

From innovating new methods of care that decrease surgical wait times, to utilizing new equipment that is at the leading-edge of innovation, to our short stay medical unit – we test and research new methods to take pressure off our healthcare system and provide more personalized care.

We are Women’s
